About one billion people in the world need some sort of corrective measures for their vision. Unfortunately, many in third-world countries do not have access to vision care and those with vision problems have difficult learning and working. They suffer because there is a lack of optometrists and they do not have the money to seek help in the large cities.
One organization in the Netherlands has a truly innovative way of correcting some common vision problems at very low costs. These low-cost, adjustable eyeglasses can restore proper vision to about 75% of the people with common vision problems (i.e., farsightedness). We urge you to check out their solution and see how you can do to help: http://www.focus-on-vision.org/en/adjustable-glasses/
If you are near our Ontario office, you can request to see one of their earlier prototypes we have on hand.
